Summer Fun for families

Are you getting the summer doldrums?  If so, here are some activities to help you and your family end summer with a Bang!

  • Have a campout. No, you don't have to drive miles to do this. Instead, pitch a tent in your backyard and throw sleeping bags and blankets in. Find a spot to build a small fire so you can roast hot dogs and make some s'mores. When it's dark share some of your favorite memories with family members.
  • Build an obstacle course using household items. Buckets to jump over, ropes to walk a straight line on (if you can), boards to jump across. Use whatever you have handy to make this a fun activity.
  • Have a read-a-thon. Have each member of your family select a book they will read to the family. See how many hours you can go reading to each other. Make rootbeer floats at the end to whet your whistles.

MARCY: I don't know, why?
